Betancuria Archaeological Museum
It consists of a tour about the aboriginal culture of the island. Two out of the three exhibition rooms contain archeological material and the other one ethnographical objects. It is located at Roberto Roldán St., in the old town of Betancuria, inside a building of traditional architecture that has been restored and adapted for such purpose. It is devoted to archeology, natural history and culture displaying archeological pieces – along with models and texts describing the first European expeditions to the Canaries – natural resources of the island of Fuerteventura and cultural material of “Mahos”, the first inhabitants known on the island.
