Traditional Fishing Museum

The Traditional Fishing Museum located in the 19th century Castle by the Tostón lighthouse is a place devoted to spread the art of the Majorero fishing. Traditional fishing is one of the activities in which Fuerteventura inhabitants’ customs and traditions remain as a sample of sustainable use of the natural resources. The building chosen to hold this museum has a lighthouse architecture typology. It is placed in the north region of the island, at the fishing village of El Cotillo, in an environment where ecological and landscape values come together.
