Intercultural Festival of music and arts

Womad Festival is characterised by its distinct cultural flavour, for taking everywhere music from all over the world. Besides the music, culture and other art forms are present in each edition, in an event which enjoys inter-cultural awareness and tolerance for all cultures.

Fuerteventura Island, and more precisely the great southern beach of Gran Tarajal, have welcomed this festival very warmly. The broad and cosy beach, surrounded by a charming village with all the services and located between the north and the south, has become an idyllic place to celebrate such an important event, with a distinct cultural flavour.
