Few beaches in Fuerteventura? Most of its over 300 km of coast hold every kind of beaches: broad extensions of white sand and crystal clear water, small cosy beaches, urban beaches with all amenities, fishing bays, wild beaches with rough waters… Today we disclose five ideal beaches to spend a day with children, spread throughout the island. Their size, location and mostly quiet waters allow you to enjoy a beautiful day with your family, without any worries, this winter.
Los Lagos of El Cotillo
All those who have visited the area known as “Los lagos” of El Cotillo, to the Northwest of the island, knows we are speaking about a paradise worth of a tourist postcard. The volcanic rocky formations make up a landscape of turquoise pools and lakes where bathers are sheltered from the open ocean. Children can have fun on their own, and so can adults.
Beach of Los Pozos in Puerto del Rosario
It’s a little urban beach to the north of Puerto del Rosario. It consists of white sand and a quiet sea sheltered by the dock. Due to its dimensions and quiet waters that characterize it, this beach is ideal to spend a wonderful time with the youngest, in the capital of Fuerteventura.
Caleta de Fuste
Caleta de Fuste beach, in the middle of the island, is a white sand beach, very quiet shallow waters, cosy and offering a wide range of services and activities for all ages that will let you spend an unforgettable day with your family.
In the Southern municipality of Tuineje we find the charming village of Las Playitas, surrounded by a nice dark sand beach and usually calm sea; a nook that is worthwhile visiting and where children will be very well.
In the coast of Morro Jable, an old fishing village, the southernmost population in Fuerteventura, we find this white sand beach, turquoise and calm sea, and a lively avenue full of restaurants, stores and activities for children and adults to spend an unforgettable day.
These are just some options of beaches in Fuerteventura. All throughout the year the options are endless!
