La Atalayita is an archaeological site whose occupation dates back to the aborigines of Fuerteventura, the “Mahos”. This settlement, located in Pozo Negro Valley, occupies an area of 1200 m2 and is composed of numerous structures in which several typologies can be observed. A first deconstruction of dry stone, of reduced dimensions and truncated conical shape of circular or elliptical plant, of low height. A second larger building, also of dry stone and more complex floor plan, divided on the inside by stone walls associated with the external wall. The roofs are not conserved vegetables. The whole area occupied by the village and its surroundings offers archaeological material on the surface, mainly fragments of decorated aboriginal ceramic, remains, stone tools, and, above all, archaeological material.
