Originated from the basal complex of the Betancuria massif, the mountain of Tindaya preserves on its summit podomorphical figures engraved by the aborigines, probably with religious meanings. The Mountain of Tindaya is one of the most characteristic points of the majorera geomorphology. Visible from almost anywhere in the north of Fuerteventura, the towering mountain stands proud on the plains leading to the Atlantic.
