Puerto del Rosario, Fuerteventura capital city, is a reference as an administrative, commercial, cultural and leisure center, and is here where the large infrastructures of the island territory are housed.
Its Sculptural Park, with more than 150 works scattered throughout the city, and the Street Murals Route, together with the Cultural House, the Juan Ismael Art Center, the Unamuno House Museum, the pedestrian area of Primero de Mayo Street and “Nuestra Señora del Rosario” Church, make Puerto del Rosario a city with a high cultural vocation, which projects the visual arts close to the citizen, occasional visitor or tourist.
One of the main attractions of the city is its wide range of shops and businesses. It has a large shopping center and several areas open to the outside full of shops and restaurants where the task of shopping becomes a pleasant walk outdoors.
It also offers the possibility of strolling through its open-air areas or along the maritime avenue, where you can find the solarium, Los Pozos urban beach, the Lime Kiln that date back to 1940, and, at the end, Playa Blanca, a beautiful beach with 800 meters of fine golden sand awarded with the distinctive Blue Flag, as does the beautiful Puerto Lajas Beach, north of the capital.
